Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our friendly team of forward thinking General Practice Staff. The role allows part time working and has some flexibility in the hours worked and will allow the candidate to maintain an effective work life balance. Main duties of the job Diabetes and other Chronic diseasemanagement and travel vaccinations would be advantageous. The position advertised will involve undertaking all the standard duties of a practice nurse. This includes as above and wound care, immunisations both adult/child, travel imms amongst other standard duties along with Cervical Smears if trained. About us We are a close-knit team of 2 GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs, a Nursing team of 3 Registered nurses and 2 HCAs along with 17 admin and Reception staff. To manage patients with chronic disease, running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems 2. Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and deliver the national immunisation and vaccination schedule 3. Treat patients with minor injuries 4. Provide directly and assist GPs with contraceptive services 5. Act as chaperone when required 6. Undertake health promotion to help educate patients 7.
