Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals and their families in navigating social challenges. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, provide guidance, and connect them with appropriate resources and activities. The Social Worker will also play a crucial role in supervising and mentoring junior staff members, ensuring a high standard of care and support is maintained. Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored support plans.
* Provide counselling and emotional support to individuals and families facing various challenges.
* Facilitate access to community resources, services, and benefits for clients.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
* Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and community organisations, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
* Supervise and mentor junior social work staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
* Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss client progress and strategies for improvement.
* Stay informed about relevant policies, legislation, and best practices in social work.
Requirements
* You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
* 3 years post qualified experience.
* You will have successfully completed your ASYE.
* You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Valid control and restrain training (e.g. PMVA).
