The Role
As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily maintenance and operations at our digital and construction sites. You will load and unload materials, ensuring they’re managed and stored correctly on-site. The upkeep and cleanliness of the yard area must be maintained at all times to support smooth operations. Any obstructions in the yard must be moved appropriately to ensure safe movement of vehicles and equipment in and out of the site.
Duties include:
1. Assist with operating tools onsite and take care of construction equipment and machines.
2. Load or unload construction materials safely.
3. Follow and adhere to instructions from supervisors and team leaders at all levels within the Company.
4. Undertake regular onsite training or external training courses to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
5. Maintain the cleanliness of the site, ensuring it is always kept to a high standard.
6. Organise stock products safely in the yard and carry out stock checks.
7. Accept and store deliveries.
8. Sign in and out tools and stock.
9. Ensure goods are checked, accounted for, and loaded correctly. Ensure the delivery of each product is secure and satisfactory with no torn labels, unsealed wrapping, or broken pallets.
10. Implement effective waste management practices, ensuring waste control and segregation in compliance with Company procedures and that waste is emptied appropriately.
11. Assist other departments with ad-hoc duties as required.
Key Skills

Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
