We are looking for a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic MOD General Practitioner (MOD GP) to join our primary health care team at Station Medical Centre RAF Honington. There may be a requirement to provide support at RAF Marham as part of the Valiant Combined Practice as required by business needs.
Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) provide a unique blend of traditional team based primary care and occupational health support to military personnel. DPHC also has a strong emphasis on education with numerous opportunities to train military medics, nurses, and Doctors.
This position is full time and offers 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.
Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be providing primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council (GMC) Standards to ensure that the organisational and Principal/Senior Medical Officer's objectives are achieved to optimise patient care. The post holder may be required to cover other facilities within the network/combined practice group as required.
Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
* Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
* Maximising the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
* Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
* Appropriately supervising the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.
* Representing the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) on Medical Practice related issues where necessary, including participation in unit health committees where appropriate.
