About us This research is within the Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health. The Department is part of the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care and is co-led by Professor Greta Rait and Professor Kate Walters. The Department’s strategic aim is to deliver high-quality teaching in community-based primary care and public health and to undertake a programme of internationally competitive multi-disciplinary research addressing the management and prevention of disease in individuals and populations in areas which are of priority to the health of the public. Further information can be found at: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/pcph/ About the role This post will mainly contribute to an innovative new research programme which seeks to understand and support responsible data sharing between housing and health to help residents and reduce health inequalities. The postholder’s main roles will be to collect and analyse interview data from a range of professional groups on sharing of housing and health data between organisations. The postholder will also be involved in designing and conducting research to evaluate NIHR Islington Health Determinants Research Collaboration and analysing data from IMP2ART’s process evaluation data from primary care practices. This post is to work on the first work package (WP1) in the DASHH work programme, currently funded until 31 March 2026. About you The postholder should: Have knowledge or experience in population health or similar disciplines (public health, health services research, psychology) and associated research methods to PhD (research fellow) or MSc (research assistant) level Be organised, with the capacity to prioritise workload and work to deadlines across several tasks Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to enable them to engage effectively with colleagues across a range of background and to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences Application Details: This is a fixed-term role with funding until 31 March 2026 in the first instance. Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent on award and confirmation of a PhD (or equivalent). If this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B, point 28 (salary £39,980 per annum inclusive of London allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
