This is a very exciting time for the Critical Care Department at UHD, as we are merging our teams and moving into a brand new State of the Art Unit. Our team of Health care Support Workers work with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent care to our patients. Training and support for the role is given by the education team.
This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however, applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital; cross-site working may be required when it is necessary to meet the provisions of the service needs.

Experience
Essential
* Experience of working in a team under appropriate supervision
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of principles of effective customer care
* Good basic hygiene skills (e.g. food handling, hand washing)
Desirable
* Previous experience of working within a care environment/NHS
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of working with the public
Qualifications
Essential
* Good standard of general education including literacy and numeracy
