Purpose of the Position
The HSEQ Manager oversees the actual compliance with operational HSEQ within the Business Unit. He/she can communicate and advise at all levels of the organization and assist, support, and monitor quality, safety, health, and environmental supervision.
Qualifications
Either holds or is working towards NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
Responsible To
Is responsible to the General Manager and reports also to the Global SHEQ Manager.

Main Result Areas
1. Maintaining all SHEQ records, such as, but not limited to:
Accidents and incidents (Sisser);
Improvement reports and internal and external complaints;
Reports of inspections, information, and instructions;
Reports regarding the realization of environmental and quality objectives;
2. Safety inspections on projects and operating companies;
3. Supporting the Business Units in maintaining the certified SHEQ systems;
4. Checking and where necessary correcting according to legislation and regulations;
5. Checking and where necessary correcting the effectiveness of the BSS Management System following internal audits, inspections, and workplace visits;
6. Initiating improvement measures arising from checks, inspections, sissers, and near misses;
7. Drafting and reviewing basic and project HSE plans;
8. Drafting and reviewing Job Risk Analysis;
9. Giving advice with regard to quality, working conditions, and the environment so that the Business Units can always operate at the highest possible level with regard to these areas of attention;
10. Providing information and education with regard to relevant matters relating to safety, the BSS Management System, and registrations from this;
11. Supervision of projects in the field of SHEQ;
12. Investigating incidents, improvement reports, NCRs, and (near) accidents including sissers;
13. Maintaining contacts with customers, subsidiaries outside the designated care area, external agencies, external audit agencies, and supervising audits;
14. Supporting policy making and the compilation of annual plans and annual reports regarding the realization of the SHEQ policy.
Powers
Has the authority to give solicited and unsolicited advice to the General Manager if, in his opinion, the safety of employees or departments does, or does not, meet the current standards and generally accepted standards set by the company's industry. Furthermore, in accordance with guidelines and powers specified in the BSS.
