Wellbeing Development Officer - fixed term until 31/03/

Salary: £55, (Subject to Job Sizing)
Hours: 35 per week
Craigroyston Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced teacher to join our leadership team as acting Development Officer (Wellbeing and ASN Attainment) on a temporary fulltime basis until November. We welcome applications from experienced practitioners who will work enthusiastically to ensure learners at Craigroyston Primary are included, engaged and involved in all aspects of school life.
The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to support learners with barriers to learning, additional support needs (including pupils who are care experienced or young carers) or pupils who are displaying behaviours of concern to ensure their needs are met in a way that raises attainment and achievement leading to full participation in school life. Setting targets and facilitating these targets by providing highly innovative, creative and motivational learning experiences is a key part of the role. The successful candidate must be able to build and maintain safe and trusting relationships with all pupils as well as having a deep understanding of the curriculum, nurture and trauma-informed approaches. Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
