MELD is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our peer team. We are recruiting people who are committed to providing high quality services for individuals with substance use issues, who can work effectively as part of a dynamic team and in partnership with statutory services.
The Post Holder (ELRHPSW) will provide and promote peer support and recovery services to people recovering from their problematic use of alcohol and drugs. This will be achieved by supporting people in the different phases of their recovery from initial engagement with services and the recovery community through to options for education, training, volunteering and employment.

MELD will consider Job-share for full-time roles.
You will be expected to provide advice, information and support to individuals who are experiencing difficulties with substance use and related issues. An appropriate qualification (SVQ level 3 or above) in Health and Social Care or equivalent, with at least 1 years’ demonstrable experience of working in a recovery setting with clients who have difficulties with substance use, are essential criteria. Applicants will require an ability to work in a flexible manner and adhere to a recovery focused approach. A full driving licence and own transport are essential.

About You
To join us as a Night Care Worker at Rae House, you will need:
* An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
* An understanding of working with families, and individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
* The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
* Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
* Knowledge of adult protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting.

RecoveryAyr are seeking to recruit an experienced, proactive and passionate Peer Worker to work as part of a collaborative team with staff from We Are With You and Barnardos. The post holder will work as part of a community based team providing peer support within a person centred continuity of care based model of long term residential rehabilitation for residents of South Ayrshire, in line with the agreed strategic ambition of South Ayrshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership (ADP), and in line with the National Drugs Mission.
