Responsibilities / Tasks
Responsible for: The typical duties of a Field Service Engineer whilst providing supervisory support to the Regional Manager including the administration, financials, people management and business development of the region. To also include customer relations and PR.
• All job costs are kept within budget and discussed with the Regional Manager
• Job sales and margins achieve budget, or if this is unlikely to be the case, an early warning is given to the Regional Manager.
• Outstanding debt queries are answered and dealt with promptly and every assistance is provided to the Regional Manager and Credit Controller to collect overdue debts.
• All credit notes are authorised by the Regional Manager
• To ensure all invoices are raised promptly on job completion in order to keep work-in-progress to a minimum.
• To assist in the growth of the business in line with preset targets.
• To assist in identifying opportunities within our customer base for the sale of our services.
• To assist in building relationships with potential customers and bring in new business.
• To act in a professional, courteous and business-like manner at all times.
• To enhance the reputation and 'presence' of the company in the market place.
Your Profile / Qualifications
• To assist the Regional Manager (where applicable) to manage the utilisation of the engineers in an efficient and effective manner, maximising chargeable hours wherever possible.
• To assist in keeping engineers sufficiently informed about company procedures and other information so that they can represent the company in a professional manner.
• To ensure that engineers are kept fully informed and updated on Health and Safety matters, by liaising with the health and safety officers at Head Office, Sittingbourne.
• To liaise with HR on any employee HR matters or sickness absence related issues
• To assist the Regional Manager to maintain effective team work, employee motivation and morale within the region.
