Safeguarding Officer
We are excited to share that we are looking for a Safeguarding Officer with a Special Need background to join our passionate and dedicated Safeguarding team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team, who are passionate about creating a warming and secure atmosphere whilst ensuring the safety of colleagues and students whilst on site.
Responsibilities
As part of this role, you will act as a Safeguarding Officer responding to safeguarding concerns, student disclosures and the reporting of issues including collecting information relating to external and internal incidents involving learners by liaising with college colleagues and external partners.
You will also support staff and managers on safeguarding issues working in line with the college Safeguarding Policy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To be successful, you must be educated to level 3 in child safeguarding or commitment to complete within a specified timescale. You must have recent and relevant experience of working with people with Special Education Needs.
You must also be able to demonstrate strength of character by being an excellent team player and being able to work well under pressure. You will need excellent time management skills and be able to work independently using your own initiative.
