SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (PUBLIC REALM)

Up to £45 per hour Umbrella PAYE
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Project Engineer (Public Realm) at Hammersmith and Fulham Council, you will lead the design and delivery of transformative public realm improvement projects, including Sustainable Urban Drainage Schemes (SuDS), greening initiatives, and area-based improvements. Your work will directly contribute to the borough’s climate change resilience, biodiversity, and overall quality of life.
You will collaborate with the Healthy Streets team, the wider Public Realm team, and the Climate Change and Transport team to secure external funding, provide specialist guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of projects that align with the council’s strategic goals.

Project Leadership:
Lead the engineering and project management of public realm projects from conception to delivery, including SuDS and greening initiatives.
Develop conceptual ideas into detailed designs, ensuring projects are integrated into larger schemes where applicable.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including asset owners, community groups, and businesses.
