Job description
This crucial role involves overseeing the child protection processes and conducting independent reviews to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Liverpool. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including social workers, legal professionals, and healthcare providers, to ensure the highest standards of child protection are maintained.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting thorough and impartial reviews of child protection cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
* Analysing case documentation, interview involved parties, and assess the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
* Providing clear and concise recommendations to enhance the quality of care and protection for children.
* Monitoring and reviewing child protection plans to ensure they are effectively implemented and achieving positive outcomes for children.
* Collaborating with social workers and other professionals to address emerging risks and challenges promptly.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection regulations.
* Facilitating and participating in case conferences, team meetings, and multi-agency discussions to ensure a holistic approach to child protection.
* Providing clear and constructive feedback to professionals involved in child protection cases.
* Preparing comprehensive and timely reports for case reviews, meetings, and any other relevant documentation.
* Ensuring that reports are clear, accurate, and meet the required standards for presentation to relevant authorities.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 1+ years experience in a similar role.
* Substantial experience in child protection, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
* Proven experience in conducting independent reviews and assessments.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
