As JDR's expansion into Cambois, Blyth continues to gain momentum, we have an opportunity for a Site Electrical Lead to join the team based at our brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
As the Site Electrical Lead, you will be responsible for the site electrical maintenance program for all electrical systems and sustainability. The principal purpose of the role is to provide technical support for the full range of electrical systems from HV through the LV distribution for installation, capital projects, modifications, and continuous improvement activities.
Main responsibilities of the role:
* Ensure the Health & Safety of departmental personnel by creating a robust culture of Health & Safety within the department, with adherence to company and legislative procedures and standards
* Manage the electrical maintenance program for all electrical systems on site which include ATEX areas
* Create and manage the site energy program ensuring reporting and reduction targets are achieved
* Review, develop and maintain our electrical engineering standards for our electrical systems and equipment across a wide range of assets
* Develop, deliver and maintain competency and skills guidance for all employees managing or carrying our work on our electrical systems and equipment
* Create and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring communication is effective maintaining a high degree of teamwork and departmental efficiency
* Upkeep of the computerised maintenance management system, creating assets, creating and / or modifying task lists, adding parts, vendors or removing where required
* Contract setup, management, renewals and contractor management
The successful candidate will hold a degree or a professional qualification in an applicable engineering discipline. In addition to this, they will have proven experience of analysing and interpreting data from relevant systems to minimise repeat faults or improve maintenance standards. In addition, knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements is also essential to this role.
Experience in HV/LV infrastructure is required along with a knowledge and understanding of safe systems of work, risk management and management of change. To be successful in position, it is also important to have excellent organisational and team management skills along with Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
It would be desirable to have knowledge of Installation and commissioning of building MEP services, DSEAR, ATEX and to have been involved in the creation of standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
