About The Role This is a key role within our Plant & Fleet Department, and you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation within your specific region. Using information provided by the team, you will plan and manage your own workload ensuring efficient and effective use of the time available,this role is based in Brentwood. Responsibilities of the role: Monitor and report on compliance within the region. Actively engage with underperforming drivers and work to raise safety standards and improve driving behaviours. Control new driver inductions, equipment, and vehicle issue Control all vehicle issues & returns, recording all data within FSGB. Manage all vehicle defects, minimise VOR Downtime and ensure reporting system is updated. Ensuring all Assets & Vehicles are kept in a safe and legal condition to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. Monitor performance in line with company procedures, policies, and rules, and to challenge any non-conformity where necessary. Monitor the Realtime movements of the fleet using the latest Telematics software. Ensure that our assets and equipment are maintained and tracked across the business, conducting safety inspections and auditing equipment. Liaise with other Regions, Departments and MGroup functions and encourage a One Team approach. Take on new assignments when required. Provide assistance either in person or remotely to the other regions as business need dictates. Expectations of the deliverables: No two days can be the same, a level of flexibility and ownership will be required to allow you to respond and react to changing business needs.
