Company Background and Role Overview: Snug Kitchen Design Ltd started as a family-owned and run, high-end kitchen design, supply, and installation business. We have since evolved and now offer full fitted joinery and interior architecture services. At Snug, we believe we have a fundamentally different approach to working with our clients; we are focused on providing our clients with excellence in design, as well as an outstanding customer experience. We are a design-led business, not a sales-led business.
Since opening early in 2015, we have had an incredibly positive response, winning various UK awards for design and customer service. We are now looking to recruit a full-time Trainee Design Coordinator to support the growth of our business while maintaining the high standards of service we deliver to our customers.
Job Description: The Trainee Design Coordinator will be working in a team with the Designer and primarily supporting the design process, but also taking on responsibilities involving liaison with suppliers, and after-sales customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design process, from initial client consultations to final design approval.
* Help inspire clients and create designs in line with their aspirations.
* Identify and recommend products & solutions to best meet customer requirements.
* Create CAD designs, drawings, and quotes using CAD and Excel.
* Work as a team player to support, learn, and understand existing projects.
* Engage with existing clients and build relationships with new customers.
* Work with suppliers on all aspects of order placements and order management.
* Coordinate site visits, deliveries, and other elements of project management.
* Manage fitting schedules and related administrative tasks.
* Oversee projects from start to end & be a point of contact for customer inquiries.
* Help manage social media on behalf of Snug, including Houzz, Facebook, and Instagram.

* Ability to work independently or within a team, under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to communicate professionally face-to-face, via telephone, and email.
* Strong numeric and literacy skills, able to calculate and write quotes.
* Knowledge and experience with design software, AutoCAD etc., would be an advantage although training will also be provided.
* Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel (ability to create and manage spreadsheets).
Qualifications & Experience:
* GCSE (or equivalent) grade A-C in English & Maths.
* For graduates seeking a trainee position, minimum 2:1 in a Design-related subject (e.g., interior architecture, interior design, etc.).
* For experienced applicants (with or without a degree), 2+ years of experience in the workplace and an ability to prove suitability for the role.
* A clean, full driving license would be advantageous.
Other Information:
* Salary c.£20,000 but is negotiable dependent upon experience/training needs of the candidate.
* Immediate start would be preferable.
* Any role offered would incorporate an initial 6-month mutual trial period.
