About the Role
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to residents. Your responsibilities will include:
* Understanding and applying safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
* Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly following work instructions.
* Assisting with the supply and quality of kitchen items, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
* Respecting residents and their visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.
About You
To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability. The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
* Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
* Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and handling a demanding workload.
* Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards teamworking.
* Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
