We’re currently recruiting for a Software Engineer to join our Maytas Product Team in Lancaster.
Maytas is a flexible learning management solution for training providers, employers, and universities. It tracks learners, personnel, employers, and resources in a single database, offering a comprehensive view of an organisation’s training activities. Maytas simplifies administration, supports various training types, and manages funding, objective tracking, and evidence submission.
The role is Hybrid, with at least one day per week in our Lancaster office.
The Role
We are currently developing Maytas:Reimagined, as a brand-new replacement for Maytas 5 utilising new technologies. We are looking to expand the team and therefore will require an experienced Angular Dev to be fully dedicated to the project and act as a mentor to the other Devs in the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of a transformative project. You'll work closely with an amazing team to design and roll out a brand-new, streamlined, and ultra-efficient platform! Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out fundamental software development activity relating to both current and new systems, including writing, testing, and debugging code to build new features or fix bugs.
* Translating user requirements, functional and technical specifications into appropriate and clearly understood design, architecture and technical output.
* Developing industry standard design principles, frameworks and patterns, following agreed standards and approaches.
* To understand and adhere to current secure coding standards.
* Undertaking impact analysis of new features/defect fixes, and document according to standard.
* Supporting with the transition from desktop to web based platform.
The skills you’ll need:
* Experience in Angular, .Net core, microservices and Dev Ops.
* A demonstrated capability of learning new tech quickly.
* The ability to support the development of a new product, transitioning from desktop to cloud.
It would be great if you had:
* Experience in our market (WBL) sector.
