Job summary The implementation of the One Devon Electronic Patient Record (EPR) is the largest digital transformation ever undertaken within the Devon healthcare system. This exciting and challenging programme aims to fundamentally change how we deliver health and care in Devon in a way that is both clinically and financially sustainable. The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (RDUHFT) will be working with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) and University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHPT) to develop a Devon-wide EPR using Epic software. The solution will be jointly owned, implemented and supported in a truly collaborative programme. We will be working as one system to collectively adopt standardised best practice of clinical, operational and administrative pathways. This is not just an implementation of a digital solution; this is clinically led transformation programme ensuring the programme is focused on what is right for the patients and staff across Devon. Our EPR will drive improved standards across our services. Main duties of the job o The One Devon EPR Programme encourages a culture of continual service improvement. The post holder will be an advocate for this culture and demonstrate continual service improvement in the services for which they are responsible. o The Programme Manager will report to the Head of Technical Design and Delivery and provide expert Programme Management for one or more of the digital technical delivery streams (Hosting; Infrastructure and Devices; and/or Data and Integration). o They will lead delivery on the large and complex programme and be accountable for the planning, structuring and execution of delivery. The post-holder will provide task management, mentoring and training for teams within the programmes and will be responsible for project components producing results capable of contributing to and facilitating the benefits as defined within the One Devon EPR Business Cases. o The post-holder will be responsible for the functional management of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring appropriate financial and human resources are made available to programmes.
