A highly respected client of mine is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Solicitor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a variety of litigation matters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee a broad range of civil litigation cases, including commercial disputes, contract conflicts, and other contentious legal issues, guiding them from start to resolution.
* Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents, such as pleadings and settlement agreements.
* Communicate clearly, professionally, and efficiently with clients, opposing parties, courts, experts, and third parties.
* Represent clients in court, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution sessions, presenting compelling arguments.
* Provide clients with strategic advice on risk management, case strategies, and dispute resolution methods.
* Maintain excellent client service by ensuring timely communication, addressing client concerns, and managing work in alignment with the firm’s commitment to excellence.
* Build and nurture long-term client relationships by understanding their specific legal needs.
* Manage the financial aspects of client cases, including compliance with billing guidelines and write-off parameters.
* Stay current with developments in relevant legislation and case law through ongoing professional education.
* Achieve individual and team billing targets, while also contributing to the firm’s overall financial goals.
* Supervise and perform file reviews for junior staff or fee earners as needed.
* Participate in cross-selling services and identify opportunities to offer additional solutions to existing clients.
* Utilize case management systems and technologies effectively to support both personal and firm-wide objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* A qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.
* Minimum of 3 years PQE in Civil and Commercial Litigation.
* Strong technical knowledge and legal expertise.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Skilled in building and maintaining client relationships.
* Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
