Closing Date - Applications close 20 th November at 5pm A chance to thrive We’re looking for a Conversation Rate Optimisation (CRO) Analyst to support our team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc as we embark on an exciting journey focused on delivering web personalisation and optimisation to drive better outcomes for Tesco customers. This role is responsible for the end-to-end optimisation process, enhancing our customers’ digital experience from hypothesis generation through to solution development and delivery. Using data and collaborating with colleagues across the Bank, the role aims to understand business problems and ensure that improvement opportunities are appropriately built to test solutions. The Customer Experience Optimisation Analyst will work closely with the CX Optimisation Owner to prioritise the backlog of tests and focus on turning business problems into effective solutions. What you’ll be doing Working with the CX Optimisation Owner, Design & Product Management teams to define and execute the optimisation backlog from discovery and hypothesis through to delivery of an improved customer or business outcome. Defining test variants & metrics that meet the need of the problem to be solved and creating optimisation test documentation that ensures transparency and high development quality. Working closely with the Technology teams (both internal CIO and external where appropriate) to find optimal solutions that meet our technical standards. Performing high level quality control before go-live, ensuring that the hypothesis is clearly understood and that the success criteria is in place to ensure the test is robust and performs as intended. Developing relevant success measures and MI reporting which allows us to track the outcome of all activities being tested. We need you to have Technical Expertise : Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and A/B testing platforms such as Oracle Infinity, Adobe Target, Optimizely. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify issues in the conversion funnel and develop strategies to address them. Analytical Proficiency : Strong foundation in data analysis, including statistical principles (e.g. Hypothesis tests, Confidence Index, Margin of Error) to identify trends and anomalies. Communication & Collaboration Skills : Strong ability to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and commercial. Adaptability & Agile : Ability to work within an agile framework, adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies as the field evolves. And if you have any of these, even better HTML/CSS/JavaScript Knowledge: Basic understanding of web development languages to implement and troubleshoot tests. User Experience (UX) Knowledge : Understanding of UX principles and how they influence user behaviour and conversion rates. Heatmaps and Session Recording Tools : Familiarity with tools like Decibel/Medallia, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity to gain insights into user behaviour. SEO Knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimisation to ensure that CXO efforts align with SEO best practices.
