About the role
The Senior Infrastructure Security Architect is a critical role in the Digital and Tech Information Security organization supporting our Manufacturing sites to maintain the highest level of service availability and keep our network security levels ahead of our business demands, developing a long-term multi-technology strategy. The Senior Infrastructure Security Architect will assess, improve, and maintain the network security of the global manufacturing environment, and build new processes & procedures and develop guidelines for the business to adhere to. The Senior Infrastructure Security Architect will direct, implement, and maintain the cybersecurity of the production network environment including Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Factory Automation systems and others as needed.
Role Responsibilities
1. Lead all aspects of architectural activities for a technology domain, or architectural practice area, or manage the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within a business area.
2. Define standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domains. Define and develop the logical design and information management strategies vital to store, move and manage data in a new target state.
3. Design, implement, and manage comprehensive network security solutions for both IT and OT environments.
4. Analyze, design, and develop roadmaps and implementation plans based on a current vs future state.
5. Troubleshoot connectivity and applications across the enterprise.
6. Develop and implement measures, tools, and technology to monitor compliance with company security policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
7. Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure the integration of security measures in routing, switching, wireless, and overall network design.
8. Manage relationships with engineering teams and collaborate across the organization to ensure network security levels are maintained at the highest level.
9. Explore raw network traffic & perform in-depth data analysis utilizing various tools.
10. Create useful and creative data queries & relevant dashboards and reports to key stakeholders.
11. Initiate, prioritize, and design solutions based on the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
12. Optimize operational excellence and ensure best practices for security are followed.
13. Serve on various forums (e.g., Information Security / Engineering) to analyze projects, programs, and products to ensure they are technologically sound, will do no harm, and will deliver the expected outcomes.
14. Provide technology guidance, collaboration, and mentoring of key stakeholders and teams; develop and motivate to create a positive culture and working environment.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical experience.
2. Expertise working in network engineering principles, including routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network security programs.
3. Solid foundation in network architectures, network protocols and other general IT knowledge.
4. Understanding of Security threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and pen-testing.
5. Ability to present technical design proposals and reports to customers and/or other senior engineering, management, and government groups in clear, complete, concise, and non-ambiguous terms.
6. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly communicate and have excellent consulting skills.
7. Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and delivery timelines, and to move swiftly from concepts and theory to action.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. CCIE or CCNP certification preferred.
2. CISSP, GICSP, CISM, or CFSE/CFSP certification desired.
3. Claroty, Elisity, Zscaler, and Azure experience preferred.
4. Working knowledge of Zero Trust security as well as micro-segmentation solutions.
5. Experience/Exposure with cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST (CSF) Cyber Security, SANS CIS control frameworks and/or IEC62443.
6. Exposure to onsite travelling, site audit/security audit would be a plus.
