Im working with a well-established, national, multi-site manufacturing business who have some imminent growth plans for their Telford site, so they need to recruit a Lead Planner to support the manufacturing plant with the extra orders that are now coming through the facility. As they are already leaders in their sector, and have a well-trusted and respected brand, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work in a driven and experienced team in a fast paced, and growing business. The Lead Production Planner will be responsible for: Producing and creating production schedules to support the manufacture of both made to stock and bespoke products Updating and maintaining data within the manufacturing intelligence software Liaising with production and commercial teams regarding production progress Utilising data within SAP to ensure production schedules are effective in-line with customer demand data Producing long term and short-term fixed production plans Resolving any issues/bottlenecks in production and adjusting plans as necessary to react to any changes Skills and Experience Good working knowledge of MS Excel Significant experience of Production Planning within a manufacturing business Previous experience as Senior Planner / Lead Planner or significant experience in a Production Planner / Production Controller / Production Scheduler role ready to step up into a Lead position The ability to work well under pressure and be a pragmatic problem solver Good knowledge of MRP / ERP systems will be essential The application process: Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
