We have a great opportunity to join our education team as a Functional Skills (Maths & English) Tutor for Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Five Wells (Wellingborough), offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 37 hours per week.

What the role entails
You will work with, and be supported by, our amazing team of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality Level 2 English and Maths qualifications to up to 15 learners. You will need passion and understanding in your approach which will help them secure future employment opportunities post-release. Time will be given for a thorough induction and for lesson planning. Your Local Education Manager is always on hand to provide support. Delivery happens between Monday and Friday, with weekends and evenings reserved for rest and relaxation.

What we need from you
In order to be successful in the role of Tutor, you will need:
* A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale (required).
* Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
* Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism.
Ideally, you will want to be a part of a team focused on improving lives and enabling learners to develop, grow and be equipped for a life of work and success. You'll be a self-starter with a passion to learn and grow yourself.

Successful candidates will be offered a salary of between 28,879.45 to 34,836.20 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
