Overview:
As Driver Debrief Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of transportation logistics by conducting debriefing sessions with drivers at the end of their shifts. This position involves gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and maintaining accurate records to support operational efficiency and compliance.
Site: Corby.
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off day shift 06:00 - 18:00.
Salary: Up to £30,000.00 (DOE).
Responsibilities:
1. Verify the authenticity and validity of driver licenses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
2. Interact with customers as needed, addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and maintaining positive relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.
3. Log and monitor driver absences, keeping accurate records for HR and operational planning purposes.
4. Conduct debriefing sessions with drivers at the conclusion of their shifts to gather feedback, address issues, and reinforce safety protocols.
5. Provide drivers with comprehensive briefings before their shifts, outlining tasks, schedules, and safety guidelines.
6. Manage the processing of delivery notes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion of tasks.
7. Record any non-conformance incidents and update the system accordingly to facilitate corrective actions and maintain quality standards.
8. Work closely with the wider traffic team to ensure the efficient coordination of transportation operations, addressing any challenges or issues that may arise.
9. Process POD documents when required to support the team, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion of deliveries.
Requirements:
1. 5+ GCSEs or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or related field advantageous.
2. Prior experience in transportation logistics, administrative support, or customer service roles is advantageous.
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
5. Proficiency in computer applications and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
