Duty Control Manager

As a Duty Control Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by:
* Manage the running of the station, including monitoring the station and guideways (CCTV & IDS), making PAVA announcements to passengers, coordinating ad-hoc Passenger Care Ambassador (‘PCA’) tasks via radio, remotely operating the loading bay, liaising with Airport control room, responding to intruders, and providing passenger assistance.
* Predominantly be located in the control room but may temporarily need to leave when issues arise.
* During an emergency, assess impact of disruptions, implement contingency plans, make decisions related to activating back-up service(s), liaise with emergency services, brief on developing situations, log and report incidents, and notify the DART Operational Team (‘DOT’).
* Monitor the emergence and close-down of incidents, managing a coordinated response between London Luton Airport Operations Ltd (‘LLAOL’) and DCC employees.
* Escalate incidents up through the command-and-control structure as required.
* Communicate information with GTR and LLAOL when required.
* Maintain a security presence at the Luton DART as required.
* Respond to affray alarms and other alarm systems within the DART.
* Deal with conflict situations with the public and communicate with the Police when required.
* Patrol the inside and outside areas of the building, keeping accurate documentation.
* Report all Health & Safety issues and defects within the building to the helpdesk.
* Enforce the Non Smoking Policy throughout the building.
* Provide assistance and deal with queries from members of the public.
* Follow policies and procedures in relation to the operations of DART.
* Present a professional appearance when at work, adhering to the uniform and dress code guidelines at all times.
* Deal with admin requirements regarding security records and CCTV footage.
* Maintain computer records of logs and incidents.
* Have a flexible approach to working times.
* Assist Police Officers or DCs when on site.
* Complete and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports.
* Attend meetings on behalf of Bellrock.
What does it take?
* Ability to work alone, using own initiative.
* Flexibility to work beyond regular working hours as required.
* Ability to prioritise work accordingly.
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Ability to multitask and manage numerous systems/queries/tasks simultaneously.
* Must have previous experience in a Duty Control Manager role.
* Must hold an SIA Licence & Enhanced DBS.
* Previous experience working in a busy commercial and public-facing environment.
* Experience in dealing with staff or customer queries.
Working arrangements
