As a Clinical Deputy General Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our members' well-being and independence, regardless of the setting. Main Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership and Management Provide leadershipand support for clinical and care colleagues,and act as a champion for members safety and dignity. Work with the general manager to formulate strategies for service development or changes in service provision and support implementation Comply withthe clinical governance framework and all activities related to it. This includes participation in the clinical audit programme. Develop monitoring and reporting systems which promote the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality services. Ensure that clear andaccuraterecords and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery aremaintainedand effectively used by colleagues. Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice. Liaise with GPs and other(local)health professionals to ensure thatmembersreceive the medical and clinical support theyrequire. Demand high quality service delivery focusedon membersindividually assessed needs. Staff Supervision and Development Supervisesthe rehab centre manager,nursesand care coordinatorson a day-to-day basis and through formal clinical supervision. Tomaintainskills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available. Assistin the recruitment, training, and mentorship of nursing and care staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct performance evaluations,identifytraining needs, and create development plans to enhance staff skills and competencies. Monitor staffing levels and coordinate schedules to ensureappropriate coveragethat meets the needs ofmembersand regulatory standards. Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure the home adheres to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding. Conduct regular audits, clinical reviews, and risk assessments, taking corrective actions as needed tomaintainhigh standardsof care. Work closely with theGeneralManager and Director of Care & Compliance to implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring outcomes, and adapting strategies to enhance care delivery. Memberand Family Engagement Together with the General Manager act as a point of contact formembersand their families, addressing concerns and queries ina timelyand sensitive manner. Coordinate andparticipatein family meetings, ensuring effective communication and fostering positive relationships withmembers' loved ones. Promote a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment formembersand their families, emphasizing respect and dignity in all interactions. Administrative and Operational Support Assistwith budgeting, resource management, and inventory control to ensure the homeoperatesefficiently and within financial guidelines. Support theGeneralManager inmaintainingaccuraterecords, documentation, and reports in compliance with legal and organizational requirements. Take responsibility for the homes operation in the absence of theRegisteredGeneralManager, including emergency decision-making and delegation of tasks asrequired. Carrying out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you. This role requires an active nurse pin with the NMC.
