About the opportunity: Reporting to the Rail Civils Technician Lead, you will drive the delivery of Railway civils projects to meet our clients greatest challenges whilst ensuring technical excellence and delivery. The role will be hybrid working principally based in either our Glasgow or Birmingham offices. Additionally, the role will require the ability to travel in line with business needs. Responsibilities: Carry out 3D modelling and 2D drawings for rail civils projects, reporting to the rail civils project lead. Working closely with the rail civils design team to develop design solutions. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design is coordinated Provide guidance and technical support to junior members of the team. Manage a team to provide the required design deliverables HNC/HND/BEng in Civil Engineering Min 7 years' of Civils/ Structures, drainage and earthworks/ levels design experience on projects Excellent organizational, technical, writing, communication, and computer skills. Experience with the production of standard drawings for infrastructure projects such as, Rail, drainage, water, storm drainage and retention ponds, earthworks and retaining structures and structural layout drawings. Experience with processing and modifying topographic data in support of project needs within Bentley Suite and desirable for processing within Civil 3D. Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks, work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Ability to spot and resolve clashes within multi-disciplinary team environment without guidance from Engineers and to provide input to design with engineers and work independently on Projects. Drafting and design experience within a consulting engineering office environment.
