Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centered, compassionate care under the leadership and direction of a registered nurse (or other registered care professional). Work within all aspects of the nursing process, providing high quality holistic and person-centered care. Support the registered nurse in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care with a focus on promoting health, independence, and family-integrated care. Carry out specific clinical and care tasks to a high standard and competency, under the leadership and direction of a registered nurse. Be an accountable professional. Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role.
