The Digital Learning and Online Content (DLOC) team is part of the Provost Learning and Teaching Department and has responsibility for delivering excellence in Digital and Online Learning at the University. The Digital Learning Development Team has responsibility for the continual enhancement and assurance of Digital Learning & Digital Practice across the institution as guided by the University Digital Learning Baselines.
As a Learning Technologist you will work in partnership with stakeholders to deliver digital learning enhancements to improve the student experience, exemplifying excellence in digital curriculum development, working to support the University's objectives for the adoption, application, and evaluation of appropriate digital learning technologies for learning, teaching and assessment.
This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week (to be discussed at interview) and is a fixed-term contract until 13/3/2026.
You will have in-depth knowledge of digital learning and of promoting and embedding the use of technology to enhance the student learning experience. You will have a proven track record of teaching and/or conducting training workshops in the application of learning technologies; ideally in a Higher Education (HE) context.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible and accountable for named Colleges to embed pedagogically informed learning technologies throughout the curriculum to enhance the student experience.
* Assess and identify staff development needs in digital learning and digital capabilities. Design and deliver workshops for staff focusing on the effective use of a range of appropriate learning technologies for learning, teaching and assessment.
* Provide specialist expert advice to academic colleagues on the effective use of technology to help them make informed decisions about their learning and teaching practice.
* Lead on digital learning projects to support institutional initiatives as identified by the Head of Digital Learning.
* Work flexibly as part of a team to design and create appropriate online learning resources for academic staff.
* Research, evaluate and report on new digital practice and technology opportunities. Present these using both verbal and written communication skills to relevant committees.
* Build working relationships with academic and professional services staff at various levels, and external contacts such as professional networks.
* Promote equality and diversity for students and staff.
Minimum Requirements
* Relevant first degree (or equivalent qualification) or comparable knowledge gained through professional experience.
* Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (or equivalent qualification or working towards).
* Experience in a Higher Education (HE) environment.
