Job summary To operate as an Advanced Pharmacist to deliver a highly specialist Pharmacy Service to Adult Oncology service being an active member of the multidisciplinary team and thereby promoting the safe, appropriate and clinically effective use of medicines. To organise, provide and evaluate Pharmaceutical Services to the Oncology Division, inpatients, outpatients and day case chemotherapy. To communicate highly complex information relating to medicines with clinicians, nurses, independent prescribers, carers and patients. To support, develop and evaluate the delivery of a responsive, proactive, patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to the Oncology directorate with the Principal Pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services. To contribute to the effective medicines management by maintaining and developing key guidelines, protocols and PGDs. To line manage, supervise and train pharmacy staff working in / or rotating through Oncology. To deputise for the Principal Pharmacist, Cancer Services as required by the service.
