Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the financial services sector, focusing on mortgages, bridging loans, and life insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and driving growth within these key product areas. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to market expansion and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement business development plans to drive sales and market share for mortgages, bridging loans, and life insurance products. Identify target markets, prospect leads, and prioritize opportunities aligned with company goals.
* Client Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and onboard new clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach. Cultivate relationships with mortgage brokers, financial advisors, and other industry professionals to build a robust pipeline.
* Partnership Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners, including brokers, underwriters, and other financial institutions, to foster collaboration and referral opportunities.
* Market Research: Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, competitor products, and customer needs, using insights to inform product positioning and strategic decisions.
* Sales Targets and Reporting: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to the senior management team.
* Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products, including mortgages, bridging loans, and life insurance offerings, and effectively communicate their benefits to clients and partners.
* Cross-Selling and Upselling: Leverage product knowledge and client relationships to identify and implement cross-selling and upselling opportunities, enhancing overall client value.
* Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all business development activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices. Maintain a high standard of professionalism and ethics in all interactions.
Key Qualifications
* Experience: Experience in business development, sales, or account management role within financial services.
* Skills:
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a financial services environment.
* Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
* In-depth knowledge of financial products and industry regulations.
* Existing network of contacts within the mortgage, bridging, and life insurance sectors.
* CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) Or (CertCII(MP)
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
