What You'll Do:
As the Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role collecting overdue AR and reducing debts of 90 days and above. Additionally, you will act as the primary liaison between our offshore outsourced credit control team and the business, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient account management.
Offshore team (WNS) Coordination:
1. Acting as the primary point of contact between the business and the offshore outsourced credit control team.
2. Reviewing and auditing work completed by the offshore team (WNS) to ensure accuracy and compliance with business processes.
3. Ensuring WNS updates, comments and status notes are reflected accurately in all reporting.
Debt Recovery:
1. Proactively chasing overdue payments via email, phone, and written correspondence in collaboration with the offshore team.
2. Identifying problematic accounts and escalating collection issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
3. Monitoring outstanding invoices of 90 days and above and following up with clients to ensure timely payment.
Reporting and Analysis:
1. Reviewing weekly reports on aged debt and account statuses.
2. Preparing adhoc analysis on debts of 90 days and older.
3. Analyzing trends in payment delays and recommending process improvements to reduce outstanding debts.
Collaboration:
1. Liaising with internal teams such as the booking desk, operations, finance, and legal to resolve account discrepancies.
2. Working closely with external clients to foster positive partnerships while enforcing payment terms.
You Have These:
1. Proven experience as a Credit Controller, preferably within the fashion, or related industries.
2. Strong understanding of credit management principles, debt recovery processes, and managing outsourced functions.
3. Experience working with offshore credit control teams or outsourced service providers.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional and positive client relationships.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
7. Familiarity with fashion industry dynamics is a plus.
8. Hands on exposure to CRM systems.
9. Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
10. Must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on ad hoc/new tasks as required by the business.
11. Organised with an ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet strict deadlines.
