Our Content Executives (Digital Engagement) are at the front line of this vision as part of the University’s enthusiastic, dynamic and agile team of strategic storytellers working in Corporate Communications.
We are looking for energetic communicators with a passion for social media who are skilled in content creation.
In this role you will be out speaking to our students, departments and academics, gathering information and stories through still and moving imagery to create amazing content for social media. You’ll work closely with our student content creators to showcase the experiences of our international community and show what it's really like to work and study at Warwick.
You’ll ensure the University’s excellence in research, teaching, student experience, innovation, community outreach and widening participation are highlighted through thumb-stopping content to raise brand awareness and achieve maximum impact.
You’ll monitor the wider social media environment, seeking out and maximising opportunities for the university to accelerate its social media presence through outstanding content and meaningful interactions. Responding to comments and resolving issues via social media is a key part of this role.
Working with colleagues within our marketing, creative communications, social media and internal communications teams and external agencies you will share opportunities and help source and create content using social and digital media.

About You
As someone who loves social media and is passionate about all platforms, from LinkedIn to TikTok, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and seeing your content generate engagement with our wide audience online.
You will have a deep interest in all areas of social media and be brimming with content ideas! You'll have experience in social media content creation, planning and scheduling, as well as community management, reporting and evaluation, and social listening. Experience of content capture and editing, especially for Reels and TikTok is essential. Knowledge of paid social media is a valued additional skill.
You’ll be able to see the content opportunities across all areas of our University, from student life and academic content, to events and campus activities. You’ll always have one eye on the latest trends and external events to ensure the content you create is relevant, timely and engaging. You must be able to ensure that the content you create is suitable for the chosen platform and engaging for the key audience demographic.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy meeting people and be happy to engage with internal and external stakeholders including students, staff and external agencies.
You’ll be a team player who is happy to provide cover and support for other colleagues during busy periods or if they are away.

About The Department
This role sits within the Corporate Communications team. The Corporate Communications team is responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of the University of Warwick, and our brand. The team elevates and amplifies our research, education, achievements and impact – whether that’s internally to our staff, or to a global audience. Comprised of media, communications, digital and marketing experts, it is an exciting team to be a part of.
The Corporate Communications team sits within the wider Marketing, Communications, Insight & Student Recruitment team. The team carefully communicates important messages around our excellent education and research, and innovative partnerships.
The team provides expertise in campaign creation, multi-channel communications, market research, web development, and more. This broad base of professional skills and knowledge ensures the University is represented through compelling, creative, and consistent messaging and content, always keeping our varied audiences in mind.
