We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary (KS1) Special Needs Teacher to join a school that caters for PMLD children aged 3-19. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a KS1 class and supporting our PMLD students with their academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience working in a PMLD setting. They will have a strong understanding of PMLD, and the challenges faced by students with this condition. They will be able to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that supports the development of PMLD students. As a Primary (KS1) Special Needs Teacher, you will work closely with our team of Teaching Assistants (TAs) to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student. You will have access to plenty of TA support in class, meaning that there will be no personal care needed from the teacher. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student. Working closely with our team of TAs to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment. Monitoring the progress of each student and adapting teaching methods as needed. Communicating with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievement. Working collaboratively with the wider school team to support the development of our PMLD students.
