Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse - Emergency Department
The St Helier Emergency Department has received significant investment from our Trust's board to increase our staffing levels within the Emergency Department. We have been given funding to increase our substantive numbers of Band 7 Senior Nurses, so we are looking for experienced Emergency Department nurses to join our expanding team.
We are a friendly team aiming to provide high-quality care. You need to be an experienced ED nurse, ideally with experience in leadership and management. You will be expected to lead and motivate the team and demonstrate critical thinking in clinical decision-making to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. The trust values; Care, Quality, and Commitment must be upheld at all times.
We will offer a supportive environment to ensure a strong commitment to continuing your professional development both in-house and through university courses.
Main Duties of the Job
Epsom & St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is rated as Good by the CQC, and we'd welcome applications from individuals committed to being part of the team to maintain and build on this. Can you help St Helier Hospital deliver the best quality and safest care to our local community? If you enjoy working in a busy, demanding environment and are able to work on your own initiative, then this may be the job for you. We are looking for experienced nurses who are looking for a genuine opportunity to demonstrate their managerial skills. You must have the ability to 'think on your feet' to meet the challenges of this exciting and dynamic role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team within the St Helier Emergency Department. Our top priority is the safety of our patients and their best possible care. Being part of a close-knit, hardworking, and supportive team will help you settle in with us.
Applicants must be flexible in shift working patterns to include weekdays, weekends, nights, and bank holidays. No two days are the same in the emergency department; however, what we can promise to offer is an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills within a friendly and knowledgeable team.
