Medequip Connect provide services to over 10,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home.
We help people to maintain independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day. About the role
As the TEC Trusted Assessor Installer for Medequip Connect, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and collecting all TEC equipment as outlined by the contract. This role ensures service users can live independently and safely with the support of TEC equipment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Gaining an extensive knowledge of Assistive technology, how it works and how it can support people to remain safe and independent at home.
* Developing and maintaining good working relationships with a range of service providers to provide and maintain a flow of information and appropriate and effective communication for the benefit of service users.
* Assisting in the research into and testing of new equipment, including supporting with project work.
* Utilising and following processes for transferring stock to and from clients' homes.
* Maintaining the vehicle that is provided for you in the line of work in conjunction with required standards ensuring that daily checks are completed, and any issues are immediately reported.
* Installation and upgrade of digital telecare equipment whilst using both handheld and power tools to install equipment safely, alongside using and being aware of ladders and step ladders.
* Conducting service calls on existing equipment, fault finding and resolving any issues clients may have. Collecting existing equipment when clients may no longer require it.
* Providing interactive demonstrations of installed equipment to our clients to instil confidence and knowledge when using the equipment, alongside aftercare offerings and supporting education and documentation for clients, listening, and offering solutions to any questions they may have.
* Updating and maintaining client records.
* Confidence working with a range of vulnerable people with complex needs and disabilities.
* Experience of working in a team and autonomously.
* Good analytical skills and structured approach to problem solving.
* Strong organisational skills to ensure all documentation relating to work equipment and vehicle are always kept tidy and in a serviceable condition.
* The ability to conduct risk and dynamic assessments for your own safety and the clients during installation and interaction with a strong emphasis upon working safely for example deploying manual handling and lifting and working with ladders up to 3.6 meters.
* Strong customer-facing skills which include the ability to listen and empathise, alongside a caring nature which puts our clients at the heart of what we do.

Qualifications and experience required:
* Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English.
* Full Drivers License.
