Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Angmering
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is currently working with a primary school in Angmering seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, creative, and enthusiastic individual with experience in supporting children with challenging behaviours. The school values resilience, a good sense of humour, and a commitment to maintaining high expectations of achievement and behaviour. You will contribute to the school’s nurturing and supportive ethos, helping every child meet their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Establish trusted relationships with pupils and work with them based on their individual needs.
* Promote the inclusion of all pupils in the classroom.
* Encourage pupils to engage in classroom learning and interact with their peers.
* Foster self-confidence in pupils and set individual, tailored goals and challenges.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Experience in youth work or working with challenging behaviours and/or SEMH needs.
* A resilient and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
* The ability to support and nurture pupils, celebrating their differences.
