Environment and Safety Advisor
Location: Manchester region
Overview:
* A large manufacturing business with a varied client is creating a brand new position!
* An exciting opportunity for an Environmental professional with a keen interest in Health and Safety.
* This role will focus primarily on environmental responsibilities while supporting continuous improvement in health and safety across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the environmental management system in line with ISO14001 standards.
* Conduct internal training on EHS topics and communicate effectively on environmental issues.
* Support internal HSE auditing, conduct audits, and maintain ISO14001 compliance.
* Respond to customer/regulator requests, providing sustainability and environmental data.
* Develop carbon footprinting methods and monitor Scope 1-3 emissions.
* Maintain the environmental legal register and ensure compliance with legislation.
* Support the implementation of ISO45001 and drive continuous improvement in health and safety.
* Assist in risk assessments, accident investigations, and policy implementation.
* Host customer and third-party audits and recommend new accreditations when necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Environmental focused qualification
* Minimum of 1-year experience in an environmental compliance role.
* A Safety based qualification or understanding
* Experience with ISO14001 principles
* Strong administrative skills and ability to drive sustainability initiatives.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
