Computer Science Teacher – Stockport
A dedicated and passionate Computer Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Salford, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. In a department with well sequenced learning, with clear links to their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.
This school has recently been inspected and was found to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school has a house system that helps them to make friends with pupils of different ages. For example, on Friday teams of pupils from different year groups compete in interhouse competitions and quizzes. This sense of belonging helps pupils to feel happy in school. Pupils of all ages are encouraged to be good role models to others. Typically, pupils’ positive conduct in lessons and around the school reflects this aspiration. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT,, QTS, etc)
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
