Our client, a leading technology and communications company, is looking to recruit a self-motivated, professional, and efficient AV Field Service Engineer to support their client base and ensure that a first-class service is delivered.
Reporting to the Technical Director, duties will include:
1. Installing, managing and troubleshooting equipment related to sound and video production.
2. Performing routine check-ups and ensuring that systems are functioning at optimum levels.
3. Explaining system designs and usage to clients and working cohesively in a team setting.
4. Being self-motivated with a commitment to the issue at hand.
5. Using problem-solving skills to find faults and consistently provide high standard solutions.
6. Delivering end-user training after installation of new devices.
7. Accurately completing job reports, explaining steps taken, and getting sign-off by the client.
8. Accurately completing other service records.
9. Building relationships with clients.
10. Identifying sales opportunities with existing clients and feeding back to our Sales team.
11. Conducting and recording site surveys to a high standard.
12. Maintaining standards of technical excellence within the team.
13. Participating in various training and development programmes.
As a successful candidate, ideally, you will have at least 2 years previous experience within a professional audio, video, video conferencing or similar technical role with the ability to install and configure equipment using software tools and able to terminate cables to industry standard. You should be self-motivated, reliable, and possess excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, together with the capacity to plan and manage your own workload efficiently.
As this is a field-based role, a current driving licence is essential.
