Purchase Ledger Clerk - 6 Months FTC Retford PIB Group Full time Fixed Term Contract
PIB Group is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 6 months. The role involves providing administrative support within our finance department, working alongside professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
This position is suitable for confident individuals looking to enter the finance sector. Ideal candidates are natural problem solvers with high attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills. As the business experiences growth, there will be opportunities to participate in various projects.
Location: Near Retford Train Station, with excellent transport links by train, car, or bus. Free parking is available nearby.
The Role
1. Using client broking systems such as Acturis, Websure, SSP, and TAM
2. Conducting weekly bank reconciliations across multiple systems
3. Handling monthly insurer and client money calculations
4. Performing monthly paper bank reconciliations
5. Investigating unallocated and unidentified cash
6. Logging breaches and assisting with month-end reporting
7. Managing email and telephone queries from the Finance Team and wider business
Experience
* Proven Excel skills and knowledge
* Keen to learn and progress, passionate about accounts
* Positive 'can-do' attitude, natural problem solver, high attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated, able to work under pressure to deadlines
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
