Description A bit about the role The Data Architect will be responsible for building our capability, competency, governance, and capacity regarding data and analytics. This pivotal role necessitates close collaboration with key areas of the business to understand our ongoing data and analytics requirements. This position will be devising and executing a strategy and plan from both a technology and people perspective to meet these business needs. Over a period of two to three years, the Data Architect will build out and implement the plan while also developing the supporting team. A critical component of the role will be managing change within the business from a cultural perspective, engaging with the right people, and developing the necessary relationships to ensure success. This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Southport office. What does a typical day look like? Develop and implement a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with the business's goals and objectives. Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs and translate them into actionable plans. Build and lead a team of data professionals to execute the strategy and meet the organisation’s data and analytics requirements. Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Design and oversee the implementation of data architecture solutions that support business objectives. Manage the full lifecycle of data infrastructure projects, from requirement analysis through to implementation and maintenance. Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes. Knowledge of relevant data analytics tools and technologies. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Experience in change management and cultural transformation within an organisation. Ability to obtain a police check with no disclosable outcomes and Blue Card.
