We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for an Addictions Consultant Psychiatrist to work for a hospital based in Northwest. This is a full-time role, where you will contribute to the service to ensure that service users consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best guidelines and achieve high professional standards.
The general working hours are 37.5 per week and there are no on-call requirements.
Salary: £136,664 to £147,501
Position: Substance Misuse & Addictions Consultant
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Outpatient setting
Location: Liverpool
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations and reviews.
2. Operating within relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures.
3. Attending multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate.
4. Participating in continuing professional development, annual appraisal, and revalidation.
5. Working in partnership with individuals and carers to empower them in making decisions about their treatment and care.
6. Staying up to date on professional developments as required by your professional body.

Minimum Requirements:
1. A Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical Training with Full GMC UK Registration and License to Practice.
2. MRC Psych or an equivalent qualification.
3. Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and relevant mental health legislation.
4. An understanding of the work of other agencies, including non-statutory services.
5. Experience working with substance misuse and mental health issues, with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
6. The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
