Project Manager Role
One of the largest refrigeration & air conditioning service providers in the UK is looking for an experienced Project Manager. Working with the Contracting Manager, this role involves managing pre-start to delivery & post-completion of projects at a high standard in the most cost-effective manner.
Location
This role will largely be remote-based, but visits to various sites are expected, as well as occasional visits to the Head office in Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be based South of Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
1. The management of multiple projects across the UK, from pre-start meeting through to project handover to client (post-completion).
2. The control of contract costs against agreed budgets and within project timescales.
3. Perform all Project Administration and adhere to Company Compliance Procedures.
4. The management of installation team personnel on your individual projects.
5. Organise & control the procurement of equipment and parts required to complete installation within budget.
6. Ensure compliance with technical standards, installation quality, legal, and health safety standards.
7. Constant communication with the client ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards - action/snag free.
8. Develop and continuously monitor installation and commissioning standards & liaise with the Installation/Commissioning Manager ensuring compliance is measured against industry standards & requirements.
9. Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers at a technical level outlining any product nonconformities.
10. Conduct site surveys.
11. Authorise invoices related to allocated individual projects.
Key Experience Required
1. Experience in refrigeration project management.
2. Experience within the supermarket retail business.
3. Self-motivated and a team player.
4. Process driven.
5. IT skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and handheld mobile devices.
