Job Title: Locum Senior Cardiac Physiologist Banding: Band 6 Location: Cambridge Working Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Rate: £30 - £40 per hour Duration: Ongoing The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. This full-time, ongoing position offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to start immediately. What will your responsibilities be? You will participate in all aspects of the Non-Invasive and Invasive Cardiology Department. You will perform 12 lead ECGs, fit and analyse ambulatory monitors, and conduct technician-led exercise treadmill tests. You will support stress echo services and Pharmacological MIBI. You will oversee the ambulatory ECG service, currently undergoing transformation, with support from the lead non-invasive cardiac physiologist. You will engage in cardiac catheterisation services, including left and right heart catheterisation, brady pacing, and Loop record (Reveal) implant and follow-up. You will work towards independence in angiogram, brady-pacing implantation and follow-up, and reveal device clinic. You will manage complex device implantation and follow-up (CRT, ICD), ideally with BHRS accreditation, in full or part. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Relevant qualifications and experience in cardiology. IBHRE or BHRS accreditation is essential. Proven experience in performing 12 lead ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and technician-led exercise treadmill tests. Experience in complex devices, ICD, CRT, and ideally BHRS accreditation. Desirable: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
