We are looking for Purchasing Assistant to become a part of our Client's team. The right candidate will support the procurement process, ensuring that goods and services are acquired promptly to meet our operational needs. The successful individual must be decisive, goal-oriented, and capable of thriving in high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the purchasing team to identify suppliers, request quotations, and negotiate terms. Assist in generating, processing, and updating purchase orders on the system. Maintain accurate records of purchases, including pricing and delivery details. Monitor stock levels and engage in inventory management activities. Coordinate with logistics to guarantee timely delivery of products. Utilize various procurement systems, including SAGE, for sourcing and purchasing tasks. Support the supply chain by communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders. Aid in assessing supplier performance and spotting cost-saving opportunities. Help source both new and existing products. Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure that essential product lines maintain adequate stock levels. Update internal systems with product pricing and generate reports or spreadsheets as needed. Build and nurture relationships with both new and existing suppliers. Handle phone calls and emails professionally and promptly. Organize meetings with vendors as required. Request and send product samples to suppliers as necessary. Requirements: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role. Familiarity with procurement systems, particularly SAGE or similar platforms, is advantageous but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. Proficiency in Excel is essential. Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Capable of working independently and under pressure. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams. Quick to absorb and evaluate information.
