Experienced Seamstress/Tailor/sewing machinist with a valid UK working permit – Temporary Part time – Edinburgh
Hours: 16-32 hrs a week
The Company
We offer a first-class tailoring alteration and repair service for ladies and gentleman, undertaking a wide range of alteration work, from the simplest to the complex in a small family business with a strong customer service ethos.
The Role:
This is a part-time position as tailor assistant.
You will need to complete clothing alterations, interacting with customers by doing the fittings, pinning garments, and undertaking the alteration in a semi-industrial seeing machine.
Following a successful interview, a short trial period of a week will be required for the business to assess suitability for the role.
Requirements:
Experience of doing alterations in a commercial setting.
You must be experienced in working with semi-industrial sewing machines, overlockers and hemming machines and to carry out alterations to a high standard.
Having a creative mind and solving problem ability with attention to detail, and good communication skills to interact with other staff, business owners and customers when required.
Previous experience in customer-service related roles will give the candidate an advantage in dealing with customers in a professional way and polite manner.
