Job Description
Qualified Duty Social Worker, Flintshire Council, Childrens Initial Response Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
* Predominantly deal with all the initial local Child Protection enquiries, initial Court applications and PBRA.
* Workers are well rehearsed in managing the most complex and diverse Child Protection enquiries, taking pride in the team being robust but stable.
* Majority of the referrals are processed in a timely manner by individual workers identifying closure of the case, Care and support services or progression to ICPCC, which will be expected of the new worker.
* Written Section 47 enquiry documents are expected to be completed to a high standard with much detail and analysis when looking and identifying the risk to children and young people.
* The resilience and support between the staff group is impeccable, especially when working under pressure.
* Liaise with other professionals.
* 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
* 3 month Temporary Contract.
* Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
