Cleaning Operative
LOCATION: Aberdeen Airport
HOURS: 15 hours per week, Saturday, Sunday
PAY RATE: £11.44 per hour
Overview Of Job Description
The main purposes of the Cleaning Operative role are to work efficiently, as directed by relevant supervisors, as part of a team in order to: keep outside areas clean and tidy, including litter picking, emptying bins and trolley collection. Clean and restock the Terminal buildings to the high standards required by our customers and at all times display the core values of our client.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* External bins, litter picking and trolley collection
* Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained daily within the terminal building by completing a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins, and the upkeep of washrooms, toilets, offices, and external areas as directed by Senior Supervisor
* Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while complying with the company's expectations, rules and procedures
* Assure the proper handling of hazardous materials, correct use of uniform, correct use of PPE, and safety behavior actions landside and airside
* Maintain professionalism in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients, and any other person within the airport and work location
* Carry out other duties as assigned
Person Specification:
* Good attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use own initiative. Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work. Good communication skills and committed to quality
* Ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment
* Able to work without constant supervision and follow management instructions
* Reliable and flexible
* Full training will be provided
Essential:
* Provide a 5-year checkable referencing history
Desirable:
* Full clean driving license would be an advantage, as would enhanced cleaning experience. Previous cleaning experience preferred, as would experience in using buffer/scrubber drier
